BOSTON -- Lincoln-Way Central High School freshman Lukas Verzbicas put on quite a show Friday at the Nike Indoor Track and Field Nationals.

Verzbicas set a national high school record in the 5,000 meters with a winning time of 14:18.42. That broke the old mark of 14:29.28, set by Brad Hudson of South Eugene (Ore.) 25 years ago.
